“It's LeviOsa, not LevioSA!” If you're familiar with this iconic quote (and meme), chances are you're a huge Potter fan too! So if you're planning on running a movie marathon with your friends or family to watch all of the HP movies, or just want to watch the epic series for the first time, you might be wondering where to find the Harry Potter films should look at. Especially if you want to avoid those sketchy, free but illegal streaming websites that do nothing but bombard you with invasive ads. Fortunately, there is an easy and safe way to do it! Let's dive right in.

The Harry Potter films

The Harry Potter saga consists of a total of 8 films. The first film, Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone, was released in 2001 and took the world by storm. If you're a kid from the '90s, there is a very good chance you've gone more than once to see what is now the second best Harry Potter film and 34th highest grossing film of all time.

As early as the 2000s, children and adults were eagerly waiting for the next Harry Potter film. Almost a decade after the last copy was released, people are still waiting in line at Harry Potter Studios in London to visit Platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross Station. If you are one of them, don't worry: you are in good company (us!).

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Harry Potter, such a legendary franchise company, inspired two spin-offs. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a film that was released in 2016 and was produced and written by none other than J. K. Rowling himself. With an amazing cast of the ensemble, this film is a precursor to the Harry Potter film franchise. Its name comes from the fictional document that is mentioned several times in the books and films of J. K. Rowling.

The continuation, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, was released in 2018. Both films tell the story of Newt Scamander, a magizoologist who has just completed his search for magical creatures. In the first film, No-Majs (Muggles) open Newt's magically expanded suitcase and release some of the animals. The second film revolves around Gellert Grindelwald and his plans to train pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings.

A third film is in the works and could be released as early as November 2020.
